What is your Done Done Story?

I joined Done Done in 2022 after 7(!) years of consistent running and hitting a plateau. My initial goals revolved around developing speed and strength as a runner; however, with the insight and guidance provided to me by Done Done coaches, my mindset shifted to gaining fitness and working on nutrition to set myself up for success in the future. By taking a more holistic approach to physical fitness, not only did my sport-specific abilities improve, but I also found improvement in my mental health. I am continuously supported and inspired by the other coaches and members at Done Done to be the best version of myself.

What made you want to become a personal trainer?

Working as a personal trainer has given me the opportunity to directly apply the core values that I advocate for on a daily basis as a Nurse Practitioner: holistic health, accountability, client empowerment, and preventative care. To expand on this briefly, I am often times limited in my ability to assist in lifestyle modifications to improve a client’s health by the current healthcare system. By becoming a personal trainer within a community that recognizes and shares values of supporting an individual as a whole, I have been able to contribute more sincerely in helping clients reach their goals.

What is your favorite exercise?

Other than my first love of running, I have learned to love using the ski erg for cardio. But with my focus shifting toward strength training, my more recent favorite exercise has been knees to chest on the TRX!

What is your least favorite exercise?

This is a tough one between pushups and plank variations, but pushups still take the cake.

Favorite guilty Indulgence?

If we are talking guilty indulgence activity, I do find myself vegging out watching some reality TV some Friday nights.  Food-wise, I will never say no to a cheesecake.
